This fast-spreading, aquatic perennial is grown in both cool and
warm climates and is at home in either the muddy margins of ponds or

They need full sun and water less than 18 in (45 cm) deep.
Plant in loamy silt with a topping of sand or gravel.
Propagate by breaking up the rhizomes .
