This Vietnamese species, which is a free-branching, 18in (4 5cm) tall
perennial, is very popular as a house plant.
It has 3in (8cm) long, deep green, lance-shaped leaves striped with
bands of metallic silver.
Clusters of tiny cream flowers form at the stem tips but are not
really a feature.
Flowering colors: Cream
Cultivation: They grow in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil in
part-shade.
Propagate from seed or cuttings or by division. |
