Stems of greenish white, slightly fragrant flowers appear in late spring in warm conditions. In Africa the fibers are used to make hemp.

Cultivation: Species of Sensevieria will tolerate sun or shade and most soil types; over-watering may cause rotting at the leaf bases and at the roots.
