This weed of cultivation and waste places is cosmopolit an, being
found throughout warm parts of the world.
It may be an annual or biennial herb or subshrub to 3 ft (1 m) with
a spread of 24 in (60 cm).
The hairy leaves are usually divided into deep lobes, with these
further lobed or toothed.
Each morning it produces a sprinkling of smallish pale yellow
flowers with a deep crimson, almost black center.
It self seeds readily.

Trim after flowering to maintain shape.
Propagation is from seed or cuttings or by division, depending on
