Found in the Celebes Islands in Indonesia as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte at elevations of 500 to 700 meters with 3 to 5, ligulate-elliptic, to elliptic-oblong, strongly recurved above, loosely undulating, glossy green leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, 5 to 7" [12.5 to 17.5 cm] long, simple or branched, few [3 to 5] flowered inflorescence with successive opening, unpleasantly fragrant [crushed centipede] flowers. The habitat for this species is wet year round so even water and fertilizer year round..
